Class Description:
Essentrics® is a dynamic, gentle, full-body workout that simultaneously combines stretching and strengthening while engaging all 650 muscles. Perfect for all ages, this program will increase your mobility, flexibility, and overall strength while relieving aches and pains. With a diverse music playlist accompanying each routine, this low-impact equipment-free workout leaves you feeling energized, youthful, and healthy.
Recommended Equipment
Mats: Necessary for floor work
Suggested dimensions:
Thin mats for standing exercises – 3 mm
Thicker mats for floor work – 8 mm
If you don’t have a mat, a thick beach towel will work
Riser/Rolled Towel: Optional for floor work
A riser is great to have for floor and seated exercises. If you are unable to lie comfortably on your back or sit on the floor with a straight back, a foam riser will help facilitate these positions and engage the correct muscles. Sometimes a rolled towel can be used instead of a riser.
We recommend foam risers size 12 in. x 8 in. x 2 in.
Yoga Strap/Resistance Band: For floor work
Very helpful for floor stretches.
The level of resistance is not of importance.
A long belt (like a robe belt) will work if you don’t have a strap/band.
